The famous Thomas Construction Company is now a crime scene after its key founder and director, businesswoman Tabitha Munee Mutua, was charged with defrauding her alleged “bedmate” of some Sh1.6 million.

While appearing before Milimani Chief Magistrate Dolohina Alego. The company boss agreed that he owes her alleged boyfriend some Sh 1.6 million, adding that she had even tried to pay some.

To the irony of the case, the woman told the court that the alleged boyfriend, who is the complainant in the case, was also a “fraudster”, claiming that he once also defrauded her.

The construction boss further claimed that from her side of the case, she had already repaid KSh 225,000 under a revised agreement without the interest and was in the process of repaying the remaining balance when she was arrested.

Below is her plea to the magistrate; be keen, and let’s go into it:

“Naomba mahakama inihurumie, mheshimiwa. Nikona mtoto mdogo, na sina hiyo pesa,” she said.
