Imagine having a mom who supports you in everything, including fraud and stealing. Furthermore, a mom who is ready to even go with you to jail. How would you feel? This is the case of Cynthia Muthoni Kamau and her mom, Rose Wambui Kamau. They jointly worked in unison to defraud businessman Kennedy Oketch of Sh 4.5 million in a fake international business scandal.
According to some disturbing details that our investigative teams have unravelled. Rose Kamau, the mother of Cynthia Muthoni, was the first person to make inroads into the Sh4.5 million fraud case that saw both behind bars.
They are battling the obtaining by false pretences case at the Kibera Court.
“For a long time, Rose Wambui Kamau has been linked to high-profile fraud cases that remain mostly unreported. After learning that the businessman in this case had some intentions of getting goods abroad, she quickly contacted her accomplice, Cynthia Kamau, who is also her lovely daughter, and trained her how to defraud,” a whistleblower revealed.
He said that today, Cynthia Muthoni and Rose Wambui work as a team to defraud innocent Kenyans.
Today, they are battling a Sh4.5 million criminal case that left a businessman astonished.
They then, together, held a sit-down with the complainant, where they promised to help him import goods from China. Kennedy Oketch is the complainant in the case.
He informed the police that he was convinced by both Cynthia Muthoni and her mother, Rose Wambui Kamau, about how the business was good, and immediately he paid. They went into hiding.
After he had reported the matter, the DCI took over the matter, arrested the accused persons, and arraigned them in court.
